How Pets Improve the Office Environment

Taking a moment to de-stress while on the job is sometimes an incredibly important thing to do. More and more companies doing everything they can to squeeze out productivity from their employees. This prevalent culture of pedal to the metal productivity is creating a stressed workforce.

Many companies however, are beginning to understand that helping their employees shed stress is key to upping their productivity. While slowly making its way through the business world, manager’s are seeking ways to adopt this more relaxed attitude and increased productivity.

Petco’s 2015 survey shows that adding a pet to the office environment could be the perfect remedy for a stressed workforce. On top of lowering stress levels, heart rates, blood pressure and cholesterol, the addition of a pet vastly improves the social atmosphere of the office.

Businesses that allow furry or feathered friends to come to work with employees tend to have a more creative, open working environment. Just the fact of being open to having pets in the office helps create a much more friendly corporate culture. It makes your company feel much more personable.
